How do I install Aurora?
Run the Fabric installer for Minecraft 1.21.11, put the 1.21.11 build of Fabric API in your mods folder, then add aurora.jar from the download page to the same folder.
I use Modrinth, Prism or MultiMC
Make a Fabric 1.21.11 instance, add Fabric API, and put aurora.jar in that instance's mods folder.
Is Aurora free?
Yes.
Which Minecraft version does it need?
Minecraft 1.21.11 with Fabric.
Does it work on Mac and Linux?
Yes. Aurora is a Fabric mod, so it runs anywhere Fabric does.
Does it work with Sodium or VulkanMod?
Yes. Aurora works with Sodium and Sodium Extra, or with VulkanMod.
How do I open the menu?
Press Right Shift in game. Modules, your cosmetics and your friends are all in there.
How do I move my HUD?
Open the HUD editor from the menu and drag the elements where you want them.
How do I share my settings?
Save a profile in the menu to get a six character code. Anyone with Aurora can paste it to load your setup. Cosmetics are not part of it.
Can other players see my cosmetics?
Players using Aurora can. Players without it see your normal skin.
Where are my settings saved?
In config/aurora.json inside your game folder.
Which mods conflict with Aurora?
Aurora replaces AppleSkin, Tier Tagger, Shield Status and similar PvP mods. Remove them or Aurora will not load.
How does Aurora update?
Aurora fetches the latest build when the game starts, so the first launch needs an internet connection.
Is Aurora allowed on servers?
It depends on the server. Many servers do not allow client modifications, and using one can get you muted, kicked or banned. Check the rules of the server you play on. See the terms.
When is the launcher coming out?
It is in testing. It will be on the download page when it is released.
